The duplicate log messages on close has been fixed. I can't duplicate the issue of the ticket closing when it is already closed, and that logic doesn't look possible. We would need more information.
The user that reported the issue had run the Support Manager Pro 3rd-party plugin that integrated with the Support Manager in the past--it may be that had something to do with it.
