Note! This may need to be a change to the core rather than a specific module, which would allow clients to select the server group in essence from a filtered list as set on the package for any module that utilizes server groups.

Companies often sell hosting by location, many want to allow clients to select their location during checkout. Shared hosting modules like cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk, Interworx, etc are the most common use-case but it could be useful for many more modules.

This could potentially be done via configurable option that links to the Server Group, and this might be a good idea in order to be able to set pricing based on location.. however it could be simpler and not use a config option. For example:

Create/Edit Package

• Add an option to the dropdown for "Server Group" called "Allow Client to Select"
• If the above option is selected, display a multi-select so that you can specify all of the server groups the client should be able to choose from from a complete list.

Checkout

• When a client configures the service during checkout, if the option above is selected, display a drop-down where the location can be selected. The label would ideally be set to "Location" but this may need to be configurable.
