Showing a message and refreshing the widget via ajax should be two separate tasks.

No modules display messages. Error and success messages are set by the controller that calls module methods, so any messages that should be displayed in a module template would need to first determine the message template to use and then set it itself into its own view, or display a message using different styles.

This may be better abstracted into the module core for support in all modules.

I believe Multicraft now supports this, so it should be a good basis for which to update this module.

Multicraft doesn't support its own messages. This issue is still something that needs to be resolved in the core.

Perhaps this task should be relegated solely to the AJAX refresh of server status similar to Multicraft. Is there another task that deals with messaging?
